Tonight we took another loss, this time to Daman Express, who have really turned a corner to become one of the better teams in the league. We were down 14-1 in the middle of the 5th inning, but we rallied for six runs to avoid a defeat by the slaughter rule, earning another inning.
But we couldn't finish the comeback and they prevailed. It was a good effort, and we have more to build on. That rally sure was fun!
For the next two weeks, Tracy and I will be in Australia. (You can follow along at our Escape From Summer 2008 blog.) Then on August 4 I'll be in San Francisco -- so you'll have to endure the next three games without my tutelage. Tracy O'Brien will man the clipboard in my stead, and my friends Rex and Cy will be around to help coach on the bases again. (Thanks guys!)
