The cold winter has many things at a standstill, but your intrepid manager and his friends aren't sitting idly. Instead we are actively recruiting, hoping to avoid the forfeits that plagued our forgettable 2008 season.
Last night Tracy, Trish Arena, and myself were at Emmett's Ale House, signing the new roster, and our new recruit Jessica Rainey joined us to introduce herself and to sign the roster as well. We had fun and tried to coax one of the patrons into playing, and while I left my number and email address, I think we struck out.
But we will try again, as a few of our legacy players have chosen to retire, and we need more fresh blood on the squad.
The Captains Meeting is on April 23, and at that time I'll receive the season schedule. It's likely to begin on Monday, May 4. Get ready!
